Fight Breast Cancer By Designing Bras

A recent breast cancer awareness project in upstate New York brought over 80 artists and quilters together to get a little creative with lingerie. They were asked to decorate 100 bras donated by Maidenform that will be auctioned off on Nov. 6 to benefit the American Cancer Society and Encore Plus. Out of 82 entries, eight were picked as winners in various quirky categories. Here are the winners below:

Best Use of Embellishment: “Lady Big, Lady Bug, Fly Away Home…”

Best Use of Color: “Lilacs for Mom”

Most Innovative: “Blue-footed Boobie”
Most Effective Breast Cancer Message: “Fight Like A Girl”
Most Humorous
: “Thing 1 and Thing 2”

Judges Choice:
“Flower Power” (Sharon Stroud)
