Hand washing your bra is the best way to make your bra last longer. It might seem a little time consuming but it will save you lots of money. Because brands are constantly re-inventing and improving bras it's always important to machine wash or dry them. But if by any means you need to machine wash use a bra laundry bag.
Here's a step by step tutorial on handwashing your bras:
1. Use warm water for lights and cool for darks to prevent bleeding. Wash bras about 4-5 wears.
2. Use Delicate Wash Shampoo or Le Blanc lingerie detergent. Using other detergents will break down lingerie straps and material.
3. Submerge and Soak bra for 10-15 minutes and then gently wash by hand. Rinse bra and gently massage the bra. Do not invert molded cups.
4. Hang dry the bras. Do not put bra in the dryer.
